Main Goals
The primary goal of the Corporate Finance Department is to provide valuation reports on listed entities in the Greek Stock Market. Our target is to implement the theoretical background provided by the university curriculum into real world practices in order to produce corporate valuation reports combining financial analysis, valuation methods and strategic assessments. Additionally, we aim to help fellow students in the preparation for their participation in the CFA Institute Research Challenge. Finally, we intend to post daily updates about corporate news from all over the world like mergers and acquisitions, defaults and financial results.

Reports
The equity valuation reports are published on a monthly basis and aim to estimate the fair value of a company. Our mission is to help students understand the role of the financial analyst and provide them with some necessary practical skills. Each of our analysis contains a business description of the reviewed company and along with the breakdown of its competitive positioning, we try to assess the firm’s strategic advantages and disadvantages. Having extensively examined the company’s revenue drivers, we proceed to the financial analysis trying to explore the main indicators which directly and indirectly provide the overall image of the corporation (Leverage, EBITDA Margin, ROA etc.). In order to estimate the fair value of the company and compare it with its current price, we implement valuation techniques such as the Discounted Cash Flow model (DCF) and the multiples method.
Our team cooperates with the Financial Markets Department for the macroeconomic input of our analyses to be the most accurate possible.
